Call to Action from South Loop Can't Wait:

Are you are deeply disturbed and outraged by the actions of the Bush Regime? We are!
  • We are outraged that our government is waging a murderous and utterly illegitimate war in Iraq.
  • We are outraged that our government is openly torturing people and justifying it.
  • We are shocked that our government is putting people in jail on the merest suspicion, refusing them lawyers and holding them indefinitely or deporting them
  • We are fearful that our government is moving each day closer to a theocracy, where a narrow and hateful brand of Christian fundamentalism will rule and constitutional law will be replaced with biblical law.
  • We feel it is morally wrong when our government suppresses science that doesn't fit it religious, political and economic agenda, forcing present and future generations to pay a terrible price.
  • We feel invaded when our government denies us reproductive rights, through their repeated attacks on a woman's right to birth control and abortion here and all over the world.
  • We are ashamed that our government enforces a culture greed, bigotry, intolerance and ignorance
  • We feel that we must act now to implement real change; the future is in the balance

We are not alone. Millions and Millions are also deeply disturbed and outraged and are seeking a vehicle to express this outrage. Millions poured their heart and sole into the last election hoping to elect a Democrat, only to be disappointed by Democratic leadership who fail to take a strong stand on any of the issues that concern them.

We cannot just sit and wait until 2008! We cannot wait for a leader to step forward. The people must lead the leaders. We must let our agenda be known. We must mobilize and resist the actions of this administration. If we do not, then we will have to learn, or worse, be forced, to accept it. We must take responsibility to stop it.

We are residents of the South Loop who want to organize to drive out the Bush Regime. To join us, sent your contact information to
